Poplin Farms is owned and operated by Shane Poplin and his wife Jill Klosterman.
Shane grew up in Albemarle where his family raised cattle and sheep. Shane graduated from NC State in 1996 with a double major in agriculture business management and horticultural science. After graduation he started a hay business specializing in horse-quality alfalfa and orchardgrass, and continued to raise Black Angus cattle after his father retired.
